JOSUÉ ORTIZ: ARCHITECT
Architect Ortiz earned a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Puerto Rico - Rio Piedras Campus in 1995. The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico issued his Architect-in-Training license # 17181. In the year 2000 he became an associate of Rivera + Alejandro after having accrued five years of experience in the architectural field. At present, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the architectural department. He provides support to Architect Rivera's designs and coordinates the development of the schematic, preliminary and construction drawings at the firm. Architect Ortiz is highly skilled in educational and healthcare projects, as well as the verification of all local and international building and safety code compliance.
JOSÉ A. ANZALOTA: CIVIL ENGINEER
Engineer Anzalota earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez Campus in 1995. The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico issued his Engineer's professional license # 16121 on the same year. Since his graduation he has been working at Rivera + Alejandro as a Structural Engineer under the direct supervision of Engineer Alejandro. For the past five years, Engineer Anzalota has been responsible for most of the structural designs at the Rivera + Alejandro firm. He is also responsible for evaluating the structural shop drawings, as well as the supervision of the construction works on-site. Engineer Anzalota is highly skilled in the structural design of reinforced concrete system structures, post-tensioned system buildings, pedestrian and highway bridges, and structural steel system buildings.
JUAN RAMÍREZ: ARCHITECT
Architect Ramírez earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico in the year 2004. That same year, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico issued his Architect-in-Training license #19967 and he became an associate of the Rivera + Alejandro architectural and engineering firm. Architect Ramirez collaborates along with the rest of the Rivera + Alejandro Architectural Team in the design and elaboration of the as built, schematic, preliminary, and construction drawings under the direct supervision of Architect Josué Ortiz and Principal Architect Héctor Rivera. Ramírez is highly skilled in the following tasks: master plan design and visualizations, data gathering and performance of as-built drawings, 3D renderings and final project presentation designs. He coordinates with Principal Architect Héctor Rivera on the Specifications of finishes and materials for the projects.
JOSÉ L. MARTÍNEZ RIVERA: CIVIL ENGINEER
Engineer Martínez earned two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez Campus in Civil Engineering and Land-Surveyingin 2011. The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico issued his Engineer-in-Training license # 25079 in 2012. He became an associate at Rivera + Alejandro upon graduating from college. His main contributions to the firm are in the structural design of concrete buildings, foundations, concrete retaining walls and steel design of miscellaneous structures such as canopies. Engineer Martínez is also directly involved in the supervision of the construction works on-site, as well as structural shop drawing evaluations. He is highly experienced in the usage of the latest versions of the following structural computer renderers and software: Autodesk REVIT Structure 2012, Autodesk REVIT Architecture 2012, CSI ETABS 2012, CSI SAP2000, SAFE and Structure Point (SLAB, BEAM, WALL, COLUMN, MATS & FRAME). Engineer Martínez also manages land-surveying related aspects such as actual field-work, cut and fill computations and topographic 3D renderings.
MELANY NOEL: ARCHITECT
Architect Noel completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Environmental Design in 2005 and a Master of Architecture Degree in 2007, both at the University of Puerto Rico. In 2007 the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico granted her the Architect-in-Training license #20155. She was also certified as a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) by the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) in 2013. In that same year she joined the Rivera + Alejandro architectural and engineering firm as an associate. In this capacity Architect Noel collaborates with the rest of the Rivera + Alejandro Architectural Team in the design and elaboration of as-built, schematic, preliminary, and construction drawings under the direct supervision of Architect Josué Ortiz and Principal Architect Héctor Rivera. Architect Noel is highly skilled in the following tasks: master plan design, conceptual design, final project presentation design, 3D renderings, and research of construction materials.
